How To Run a Traceroute
This will show you how to run a traceroute to find the source of someones email issues when it has been confirmed that SD servers or client settings issues are not the cause of the problem.
On a PC
- Start a Run session
- Type "cmd" and run
- In the command window, type "tracert email.scorpiondesign.com"
Where the traceroute times out is where the issue is, shown by asterisks where the milliseconds should be.
Anything over 200 milliseconds is also a sign of a slow or bad connection.
