Reporting Google Places Spam

Google Place listings MUST be the actual legal name of the business (no SEO).

If you come across a listing which violates any Google Places Guidelines, go to the actual listing.

Go to the bottom of their Google Places listing - and click on "Report a problem"

A dialog box will come up, providing you with an easy way to report the listing.

The most common selections you will make are items 1 and 3.

Item 1 is - spam (SEO) in the Company Name

Item 3 is - more than one Google Places listing (every firm can ONLY have one (1) listing). It doesn't matter how many addresses they have!

If you select item 1, there is a drop-down box for additional information

For this one, I have entered:

Scroll down in the box, and click "Report problem"

Up at the top of your screen, it will notify you whether the problem was reported appropriately :
