How To Run a Traceroute

This will show you how to run a traceroute to find the source of someones email issues when it has been confirmed that SD servers or client settings issues are not the cause of the problem.

On a PC

1. Start a Run session
2. Type "cmd" and run
3. In the command window, type "tracert email.scorpiondesign.com"

Where the traceroute times out is where the issue is, shown by asterisks where the milliseconds should be.

Anything over 200 milliseconds is also a sign of a slow or bad connection.
